Smoothing the Transition Home from the NICU

We know that parents experience significant stress from their baby’s NICU stay and that by providing them with support, education, resources, and follow-up after they are discharged from the NICU can buffer some of the social-emotional stress they have experienced so that they have the knowledge, skills, and emotional health needed to support their baby’s development and long term well-being.

What Families Say About the Support They Receive

“…everything has worked out wonderfully. Thank you so much for everything it really is a blessing for my family.”   (Mom of 28-week preemie with feeding problems)

“Having someone come to my home to help me after my baby came home from the NICU was so helpful. Thank you very much.”   (Mom of 32-week preemie)

“There is no way I could have gotten the crib right now for my baby.  There were so many hospital expenses and doctor visits after I got home.  I am so grateful for your help.”   (Mother of 27-day old baby with special health care needs)

“Thank you very much for all your attention and respite care for me so that I could care for our little baby.  God gives you back many blessings and health.  God bless you!  Thank you!.”   (Mom of 34-week preemie with multiple medical needs)
